Lujan Home for Girls

The Estudiar University is located in the heart of New York City’s Greenwich Village. Come visit our campus.

HTHS offers an opportunity for education to the girls of Lujan Home. And it is our dream to have more houses where we could get students from remote areas to attend HTHS.

The Lujan Home For Girls gives an opportunity for young girls of Vanimo and PNG to receive an education and grow in a safe environment. Seeking to recognize the dignity of all human life, SSVM sisters want to help young women to know and love God and build their future life, especially those who are most in need.

An opportunity for education is often not an option for girls from poor families, even more when living in remote areas without access to schools or education institutions. While many parents want their children to be educated, they are unable because of tuition costs and difficulties with transportation on the island. The home allows the parents not only to stay in close contact with their daughters but also to send them to school.

To save the girls from early marriage and protect them from domestic violence, the Lujan Home for girls provides a home for girls from various provinces of PNG to live together and have become enduring friends.
